The company which made the peanut butter sold at California Trader Joe’s stores has now recalled more than 300 products. The testing done on various production and manufacturing surfaces at the Sunland Inc. nut butter factory in Portales, New Mexico, showed the presence of Salmonella. Today in America TVhears that they produce products under labels Kirkland (Costco), Fresh & Easy, Harry & David, Whole Foods, Natural Value, Newman’s Own Organics, Oregon Ice Cream Co., Sun Harvest, Yogurtland and more. Consumers should never eat recalled food no matter what their age or health status. Salmonella can affect people differently. Throw out or if you still have the receipt, take the recalled items back to the store for a refund. Better to be safe than to be sorry.
